About LPMAEC

Welcome to The Ludi Peña Martin Alternative Education Center

LPMAEC offers the following programs:

Alternative Education Placement

This program is designed to facilitate school attendance and success for students with unique circumstances. It is a competency-based program that uses an individualized self-paced Curriculum. Students are assigned a limited number of classes, and progress at their own rate.

Disciplined Alternative Education

This program has an alternative placement to the home campus where students, who have seriously violated the student code of conduct, may continue their education apart from what would be their regular placement. It is an instructional program where students are offered instruction in English, Science, Math, History, and Self-discipline.

Behavior Adjustment Class

This class provides an individualized educational program for identified special education students, who because of emotional disturbance and/or social maladjustment have been unable to function in a more inclusive environment.

Teenage Pregnancy and Parenting Program

This program enables school-aged parents to become self-sufficient, responsible, job-oriented citizens. The major objective of the TAPP program is to provide these students with individual counseling, self-help programs, career counseling, and childcare to ensure they have the opportunity to complete high school.
